Better

Proverbs 28:6 Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways. #Bible

Living a life in peace with God and the blessings that brings, getting by with honor and integrity having what you need with respect from your friends and neighbors.

Or living the rich and famous lifestyle in perverted, twisted, and false relation with those around you. Not knowing God nor recognizing His presence in your life.

The question is, what are we truly supposed to get from this life. I believe the wealth to acquire in this life is to know God.

Pro 19:1 LEB Better a poor person walking in integrity than one who is perverse in his speech and is a fool.

Freedom

John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. #Bible

The word free is mentioned twice in this verse. The first one means to be delivered into freedom. The second means to live or reside in that state of freedom, from the bondage of sin. With the idea to reside in liberty with God the Father by the actions of the Son Jesus, free indeed.

Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 it is not from works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are his creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, so that we may walk in them.

Abide

1 John 2:28 And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming. #Bible

That word "abide" has great meaning, to continue with, to sojourn with, to wait for, to stay close, in relationship with Jesus.
Maybe John is implying Jesus is the narrow path, and when we abide in Jesus we are on that path, and not on the wide path that leads to destruction.
So continue to stay close in intimate relationship with Jesus so there is no shame.

Sharing

Romans 12:13 Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. #Bible

Giving is one of the most beautiful actions of Love we can endeavor. Sharing what we have with those in need or even just because we want to is a noble expression of Godly Love.
There is nothing more haughting than that feeling after we have opportunity and we choose not to share or give to one in need.

Friend and Brother

Proverbs 17:17 A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. #Bible

Refer the text to the Christian. You have found Jesus Christ to be a true brother and a blessed friend; now let the same be true of you. If Christ be such a friend to us, what manner of people ought we to be towards Him? We should be friends that love Christ at all times. (C. H. Spurgeon.)

Justified.

Psalm 51:4 Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment. #Bible

God is always blameless. His judgment is always right on. We think that we can sneak and get away with responding to the list of our eyes and the lust of our flesh and the boastful pride of life. But we know in all honesty as Christians that God the Holy Spirit who resides within our physical bodies, who surrounds the outside of our bodies, and is present everywhere is the first I witness in our sin. The best thing to do is to humble ourselves and say what the writer of this psalm has said, because it's true. Praise the Lord that he forgives and forgets.

It is God.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me. #Bible

If we are left to our own power we would fall way short of completing the Lord's work. Even in the submission to God's Will in our own lives we would fail miserably.
Its only by being receptive to the empowerment from God that we can continue on. Like those times we just want to quit, or give up, when it seems the whole world is against us. When we don't see the light at the end of the tunnel. Or at every turn its a loosing battle.
When we are filled with the power of God it gives just that necessary push over the hill, around the corner, through the fog of frustration to see the light of what God had purposed in our lives.
God's point is He strengthened you and it is enough. In temptation, God provides a way of escape that we can endure it, or as all things work together for good, and no matter what else, as we abide in Him, because our Lord is the source of everything we need, because it is God who strengthens us.
