We Are All Dead Unless

Ephesians 2:1-3 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. #Bible

We were all dead, born into this world dead, in our trespasses and sins.
We all followed the ways of this world, we were born into these bodies who's only outreach to this world was through our bodily senses. As we grew we realized more and more of the temptations that sparked our desires and wants.
The prince of the power of the air was right there encouraging us in our lusts which caused us to be the sons of disobedience.
The mind through our fleshly desires made us by our nature or thought pattern children of wrath, sons of disobedience just like the rest of mankind.
But God delivered those who believe in Jesus into His Kingdom. We are no longer subject to the prince of this world. We have been transformed into the likeness and nature of Jesus, we are the sons and daughter's of God. We are now alive because of Jesus, who paid the price for our trespasses and sins, with His Life, by the shedding of His blood, satisfied God, who said "the soil that sins will surely die."

Many Brothers

Romans 8:29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. #Bible

Volumes have been written on this verse, I'm hoping for a paragraph.
Whether you are a Jew or a Gentile, New or Old Testament, God Loves you.
This plan of God's which was developed before time began in God's foreknowledge or mind, was developed knowing you and those who would love and worship Him. So He predestined you to be His people.
Being God's people you would want to and would be conformed to the image or likeness of Jesus, now and in eternity as well. You would be like minded with Jesus, and even resemble Him by your actions.
In order to have this privilege or position God also justified you and sealed the deal by glorifying you. We are God's possession as well as His people, and His children by our faith in His Son Jesus and we are adopted into His family. Now that is glorification. Praise the Lord!

The Lord sits

Psalm 9:7-8 But the Lord sits enthroned forever; he has established his throne for justice, 8 and he judges the world with righteousness; he judges the peoples with uprightness. #Bible

God has judged the world and found it in need of a Savior. Just as He planned from the beginning, sending Jesus our Lord.
Gods judgment is perfect, indicated by the psalmist's description using justice, righteousness, and uprightness.
God is enthroned forever for His justice, judging with righteousness, and uprightness, all of mankind.
God's level of perfection is above our ability to comprehend its Wisdom and Love for us. I hope that you are receptive to His established throne  forever demonstrating His Glorious Self existent Love for His peoples.

Remember

Deuteronomy 8:17-18 Beware lest you say in your heart, My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth. 18 You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day. #Bible

Two important words to keep in the forefront of our minds, "beware," and "remember".
Be on the guard that we don't take credit just because we worked hard, with blood sweat and tears.
God gives power to get wealth, nobody else. You can see in our world many who God has blessed with wealth, do they honor Him? That's between them and God.
Our Lord can give wealth and He can take it away.
Isn't it interesting that God chooses to use wealth as a means of confirming His Covenant. Its the most attractive way to confirm His Covenant which He swore to generations past.
It all comes down to the fact that our God Loves us, and even the world if they would turn from their wicked ways.
So if God blesses you with wealth, thank Him.

The Lord is Good

Psalm 100:4-5 Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him;  bless his name! 5 For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations. #Bible

Before anything else, be thankful, and go to His courts with praise. Don't stay where you are, get out of yourself and praise Him. Bow down before our God and bless Him.
We Christians who have been worshiping our Lord have experience with Him. We know that our Lord is Good, that He means only good. He is steadfast like a giant bolder,
His Love allows Him to endure us forever, and His faithfulness is demonstrated through His Son Jesus the Christ to all generations.
Only people who know our God worship and praise Him. The world increasingly rejects and even mocks His existence.
Its our natural reaction in knowing Yahweh, that we obediently and thankfully praise Him.

Thoughts

Proverbs 15:26 The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the Lord, but gracious words are pure. #Bible

The thoughts or plans of the wicked, the dysfunctional, evil, wrong thoughts are disgusting to the Lord. The sayings of the gracious are purifying.

If we desire to please our Lord we need to choose the narrow path, the place where we walk with God. Which is where we are influenced in the Purity and Graciousness of our Lord.
Let us strive to imitate and emulate Jesus every chance we get to the Glory of God.
Otherwise we are left with our owned thoughts, instead of those purchased by the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus.
