Come Lord Jesus

James 5:8 You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. #Bible

We also, be patient, our journey to eternity has already begun even here on earth. We are lead by our Great Sheppard Jesus the Christ who knows exactly where we are to go, and by the power of our eternal companion the Holy Spirit where we are to be.
Like the farmer who puts his faith in the early and the later rains needed to bring his precious crops to harvest. So too we have faith in Jesus to deliver us from our trials and tribulations which are mortal, and temporal, into eternity with Him. As is said, this life is but a vapor disappearing as quickly as it arises, so too are our trials and tribulations.
The coming or our Lord Jesus is so close it can happen at any moment, and our faith resides in Him. Lord Jesus, save us not from our trials and tribulations, but into Your presence, amen.

The Name

Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe. #Bible

The "Name" of the Lord, describes our God's character. The Breath of our God, I believe is an  attribute referring to our companion the Holy Spirit. Both help us to understand the safety in the Name of our Lord God.
LORD means Jehovah the existing one, the proper Name of the one true God "Adonay" unpronounced except for the vowel postings.
Our strong impenetrable, undefeatable high and lofty tower is His Name.
The righteous are those living the straight life, striving to walk with God and His direction, by our Sheppard and High Priest, Jesus the Christ. We strive to be in right standing with God desiring to please Him through our obedience expressing our love for Him.
We are blessed to be loved by a God who's Name is powerful, even a high lofty place of safety to run to. God is Good.

Ask Seek and Knock

Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. #Bible

We who have been born again, who have repented and declared Jesus our Lord, have been welcomed into the family of God, and God is now our Father in Heaven.
This is to ask, first of all for forgiveness of our sins, which God our Father does completely. That means we don't become a judge going around picking our brothers and sisters in the Lord apart for every inconsistency we can find.
It means we look to our Father God for everything we need, He is our source for everything. We no longer look to this world, even though God provides some of what we need from this world.
We seek what we need, first of all our salvation, then anything else we need from God our Father. Such as finding that narrow path that leads to eternity with Jesus our Lord, avoiding that broad path that leads to destruction. Anything, our wants, or desires, that cause us to seek, we go to God our Father who gives us good things.
If we come to a closed door, or a roadblock, or something that is in our way, we knock on the door to the Throne Room of Heaven where we have unreserved access, and can enter in without fear or hesitation to God our Father sitting on His Throne.
The point is we Christians must turn to our Father God through Jesus our Lord for  everything, we must act, we must pray.
Prayer is our vehicle by which we accomplish everything we do in this world, on our way to Heaven.

Heart Attack

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. #Bible

A few years ago I found myself in pain running down my arms. Knowing this was foreign to anything I had felt before. I decided I needed to go to the hospital. Once there, I was taken into the emergency room. The next thing I knew, like a swarm of bees, I was surrounded by doctors, technicians, and nurses.
At one point of this ordeal they were taking me to another room for some tests, and between my legs they set a mobile crash cart, you know with the paddles, when they use it they yell clear!, then shock you back to life.
I found myself telling my wife, quick dear get a picture and put it on Facebook, which she did.
It was about this time when I realized I'm not afraid. I was in a very interesting state of mind. No it wasn't medication or endorphins, they still had me in test mode confirming their suspicions of a heart attack.
I realized I was relaxed and at peace. I had been talking to my Lord through this whole thing, not pleading for him to save me, but telling Him I trusted Him in what was going on, and whatever the outcome, He is my Lord.
I was anxious about what was going on, yes even afraid, and naturally talking to God about it.
What I realized was that this peace wasn't from me, it was from my Lord. God had given me like, an extra dose of His Peace.
All I could do is thank Him and Praise Him, that while in a time of need, His dose of Peace was just what I needed.
For months after especially, and even to this day I still marvel at God's satisfying Peace, it truly does surpasses all of my understanding.
My Lord literally guarded my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus.
God's Peace still amazes me every day I live, with all the medication I have to take and the two stints in one of my arteries.
I get an even clearer picture of my Lord's sustaining peace, and His Wonderful Grace that allows me to be His son and have Jesus, not only my Lord and Saviour, but also my Big Brother, even my Husband and my Great Sheppard, who leads me through this life to the next one, on into eternity where I will be with Him forever.
I can no longer, nor do I want to, imagine life without my Father God in my life. What a horrible ordeal, to go through a heart attack without God.
Jesus is waiting for you to call Him. He will answer you.

Love or Hate

OneProverbs 12:1 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid. #Bible

One who sees the benefits of discipline learns to love discipline and loves the knowledge gained.
This word "Loves" has the idea of recognizing a gift from God and discipline is to turn, from what you do in ignorance to what is right.
Knowledge means " the door of the eye", to know through seeing you experience, or through the experience of another. It can come through knowing someone intimately and personally.
To hate reproof is to turn away or reject it because you see no benefit.
Reproof means " wall hand" it is to correct or chastise with a firm hand.
Stupid is to be barbarous, or brutish, burning with fire or rage, acting like an animal.
It's simple love God and receive all he gives you, even being disciplined, knowing the outcome is worth it.
If you reject reproof hating it, then be content to live your life like an animal, preferring to be  stupid fearing what will make you a better person.
