God's Light

Matthew 5:14-16 You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. #Bible

Whether we know it or not everyone around us is watching one way or another. Jesus is saying shine or reflect the light of God so that others see the Love of God upon us.
The light of God is our human reaction to Gods Love upon us. God's light is our lives directed by His Law written upon our hearts, and His Love pouring through us to those around us.
The obvious reason to let our light shine, is not to be ashamed, or continue to live in the dark ignorance of our life before we received Jesus the Christ as our Savior.
We are born again into the marvelous Light of God, knowing now the truth of His Love found in the Gospel.
As new creatures in Christ Jesus we need not worry but confidently shine the fact that we are children of our Father God and our Big Brother and fellow worshiper of Elohim is Jesus the Christ.

1Pe 2:12 ISV Continue to live such upright lives among the gentiles that, when they slander you as practicers of evil, they may see your good actions and glorify God when he visits them.

Wait for the Lord

Psalm 31:24 Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord! #Bible

Be strong, you are capable, you muster or take hold of your strength. Let your heart be encouraged, your inner self, your consciousness. All who wait, and depend and hope for the Lord!
We Christians need to remember that when the trials of this life come our way that when we reach for strength, or confidence, or solution in our situation. God, Jehovah, is right there giving us His strength, confidence, and solution, all wrapped up in His Heavenly Peace. Where we fall short in our fears Jehovah picks us up in His Peace, that transcends our human understanding.
Whether we continue on, or live or die we are with Jesus the Christ. That is the Peace worth having.
Remember when we fear for our situation or future, it is the signal to pray to Jehovah in Jesus Name, He has all the answers. Praise the Lord!

We are the Lord's

Romans 14:8  For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.

Its quite simple for the Christian, death has no bearing on our lives. We live here or we live with Jesus.
Myself included, a lot of Christians have a fear of death, especially because of our love one's who we would leave behind. We need to remember just as we trust Jesus with our lives, so can our love one's trust in Jesus. It sort of points out the importance of our responsibility to make sure our love one's are raised up in Christ Jesus, and also those we need to share Jesus with who are nonbelievers. Maybe even with more determination knowing the days are fewer for The return of Jesus.
We are living in the end of this age and I believe the return of Jesus is definitely closer than when I first believed. But only God knows when that will happen, and I trust God. The beautiful reality is we are the Lord's.
