Love

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 () 13:1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. #Bible

These verses are beautiful to read and communicate practically everything in christian ministry. Wonderful gifts of the Holy Spirit to serve the body of Christ, but as stated they are totally useless or meaningless if not accompanied by Love. Any other intention or motivation for doing acts of Love or as the KJV translates, Charity, is like a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
When an act of Love accompanies an ulterior motive usually its quite obvious to the individuals motivation. Selfish reasonings have a way of rising to the surface, and can be obvious to the point of being irritating or frustrating.
When Love is the motivation the act is pure, and most of the time invisible to others who aren't involved or close by. It reminds me of a big lake, even thought you don't see the boat passing by, you do see the small waves lapping up on the shore. You know the boat has passed.
As I have stated before the best way to imitate Jesus is to Love like He Loves, without expecting anything in return. Even when you show Love and end up being offended or maybe worse. The Love of God commands us to not react negatively or retaliate, but simply continue to Love, because that's how God Loves. God will take care of the offence, and the offender, we don't have to worry about that. We get to enjoy residing in the Glorious Love of God, and we have everything to gain.

Train up a child

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. #Bible

Raising children in today's society can be very difficult. This verse council's us that there is a way, and that is God's way.
Training up a child speaks of starting from the beginning, even to start the baby breastfeeding by putting something sour on the infants roof of the mouth to start them sucking. Then training them or setting them on the correct path to adulthood. The idea is if done properly and rightly, and Godly the child will stay on the straight and narrow.
Unfortunately not all individuals choose this path in life with the least resistance.
I think training up our children in the way of our Lord, teaching them about God, And what God has to say about the issues of life is the best system for curtailing our parental worries.
It is so wonderful to watch our children living a life in Christ Jesus. For those who have a child who has chosen the ways of the world, keep petitioning God the Father of all, praying to the point of bugging God to return our children back to the way of Righteousness.
I imagine that way of righteousness will look quite attractive after time spent in the world. I know because I was one of these children who found out that Gods way is the right way because He is Yahweh.

Do not fear

Luke 12:6-7 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. 7 Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows. #Bible

We Christian's have nothing to be afraid of in this entire world. Even if the world kills us, that's all they can do. Fear God who can send to hell also. That's the horrible death, not the mere destruction of our body.
You know how when someone wrongs us or hurts us, or offends us, or whatever ever it might be, and we're thinking "they're getting away with it". Why doesn't God do something, take out my revenge on them, or something.
For these kinds of issues in our lives I believe this is why Jesus told His disciples do not fear.
We Christian's need to remember that God has everything under His control. Nothing passes His notice, nothing is hidden from Him, all is exposed.
We can't see everything happening like only God can. So we need to let go and let God handle it.
The beauty of not fearing, or living in a state of anxiety is freedom to love, freedom to love and not judge others. When our frame of mind is focused on loving others we are then imitating Jesus, and that keeps us from becoming hypocrites. You know, acting one way while thinking another. This is from one of my poems, let it be your mindset, "Walk in love flowing from your heart pouring out to others".

The Spirit of the Lord

Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. . . . #Bible

You can't read just the first few verses here, you must read more. Jesus read from Isaiah 61 before Israel in the temple referring to Himself. What a pinnacle in history of humanity.

All that Christ does for us is to make us God's people, and some way serviceable to him as living trees, planted in the house of the Lord, and flourishing in the courts of our God; and all this that he may be glorified --that we may be brought to glorify him by a sincere devotion and an exemplary conversation (for herein is our Father glorified, that we bring broth much fruit), that others also may take occasion from God's favour shining on his people, and his grace shining in them, to praise him, and that he may be for ever glorified in his saints. (Matthew Henry)

He Exists

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. #Bible

Only God could come up with the concept of faith. To create a way back to Him for the rebellious fallen.
Faith allows us to see what is invisible and to know it exists. Even to know the Creator Jehovah in real time.
Faith insists that we believe in God and that he exists, and that we can draw near to Him, and through our faith He rewards those who seek Him.
Interestingly I believe as we grow in our relationship with God our faith moves into other directions as we realize we know God, and are more familiar with Him. Also our interaction with God becomes more intimate and personal as we discover He is already there when we become more aware of him. It never ends, God always satisfies whatever our need is completely.
Why would we stop growing with God? It would only retard our relationship.
