Baptized

Romans 6:3-4 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. #Bible

I don't spend much time thinking that I was baptized into Jesus death, and what that means, I confess I should.
It is important to remember that in dying with Christ Jesus, the power that sustains our life is no longer our flesh, but the omnipotent power of God through Jesus the Christ.
So that our growth from our baptism into the death of Christ and His resurrection by the power of God would spring us Christians forth to the next state of existence, the Heavenly Jerusalem where we will rule and reign With Christ Jesus.
So be willing to have your minds renewed continually, being clothed in Christ, living in the new life powered through the Holly Spirit we continue towards our Heavenly call.
If we turn from sin Holyness awaits.

Trust

Proverbs 11:28 Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like a green leaf. #Bible

Trusting in riches instead of our Father means you can't attain to a relationship with God, you have replaced God with riches, thus you can't attain, only fall.
Being righteous means you are right with God and He is your Father in Heaven. The blessings of that relationship play out in your life, in one way is wealth. But that is only the tip of the iceberg.
A relationship with God keeps you eternally safe, you prosper in knowledge of God, in reputation with other Christians and non Christians. You live under the rule of God and you flourish in all things, even to eternity with our Father.
So, trust your riches and fall, or trust in the Creator of all things and flourish on to heaven.

Love and hate

Matthew 5:43-45 You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. #Bible

Hate is a terrible thing. In my life I have had many opportunities to really hate with justification. Being a Christian fortunately I have acted as Jesus commands. Yes with difficulty, and not perfectly, but in the long run. Doing so has shown me that there is no long held grudges, hate, or anxiety for me.
Love, the way Jesus commands has healed me of the pain that floods in at the time of the offense. Loving Gods way, or like He and Jesus love has shown me that I can endure any pain. As Christians we are empowered to take the hit and continue on. Like using our shield of faith to vanquish the fiery arrows.
To love as our Father God Loves and our Savior Jesus Loves and our Wonderful Holy Spirit Loves, is to live in communion and fellowship with our Triune God. A Peace that transcends time and understanding.

Storm

Jon 1:4-5 LEB 4 And Yahweh hurled a great wind upon the sea, and it was a great storm on the sea, and the merchant ship was in danger of breaking up. 5 And the mariners were afraid, and each cried out to his god. And they threw the contents that were in the merchant ship into the sea to lighten it for them. And meanwhile Jonah went down into the hold of the vessel and lay down and fell asleep. - Sent from MySword

Flee

Jon 1:3 LEB But Jonah set out to flee toward Tarshish from the presence of Yahweh. And he went down to Joppa and found a merchant ship going to Tarshish, and paid her fare, and went on board her to go with them toward Tarshish from the presence of Yahweh. - Sent from MySword

Book of Jonah

Jon 1:1-2 LEB 1 And the word of Yahweh came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, 2 "Get up! Go to the great city Nineveh and cry out against her, because their evil has come up before me." - Sent from MySword

Despise

Pro 23:22 Listen to your father--he who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.

The obvious reason is your father has more years of experience and wisdom, the same is true about your mother.
To ever think there is no value in the wisdom of your parents makes you a fool, because you will be, or are a parent. To despise your parents is to guarantee your children will despise you.
In youthfulness self confidence is rarely contained.

Abide

1 John 2:4-6 Whoever says I know him but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, 5 but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: 6 whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked. #Bible

To "abide" in Him, this is how we know Jesus for ourselves.
Abide; is a very interesting word with many meanings and uses. For example, to continue, dwell, endure, be present, remain, stand, tarry, and maintain union with God. Maintaining union with God is to be bound to live as Christ lived. Wow!

Loving Faithfulness

Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord appeared to him from far away I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you. #Bible

Gods Loving Faithfulness is upon all who seek Him, and it preserves us into eternity. God is Wonderful!

The words refer simply to their state as a people, most wondrously preserved by the providence and mercy of God, as a standing proof of the Divine authority of the Scriptures, and as an evidence of God's displeasure against sin. (Adam Clark)

And i might heal them

Act 28:27 OEBus For the mind of this nation has grown dense, And their ears are dull of hearing, Their eyes also have they closed; Otherwise some day they might see with their eyes, And with their ears they might hear, And in their mind they might understand, and might turn -- And I might heal them.' - Sent from MySword

Go

Act 28:26 OEBus 'Go to this nation and say -- "You will hear with your ears without ever understanding, And, though you have eyes, you will see without ever perceiving." - Sent from MySword

Forgive

Matthew 6:14-15 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, 15 but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. #Bible

The word "forgive" is so much greater in meaning than what I think. It has a vast amount of uses like, to go away, to let go, to divorce, etc.
The word "trespass" means a lapse or deviation from truth and uprightness, a sin or misdeed.
These two words, more than anything communicate the idea Jesus is covering every need for forgiveness and all kinds of trespasses. The importance is to not trespass and if so forgive all trespasses. We need to understand our relationship with our Father in Heaven is affected, or the better or the worse.
Do you think it would determine how close we are walking with God? Forgiveness comes before forgetfulness of the trespass.
